I’m Matilda,

NYC-based copywriter and certified over-thinker.
Which apparently is a great thing to be when you’re in the business of thinking.

I am very serious about bamboo sheets, French butter, and my Bluetooth-controlled custom color changing light bulb.

I am not very serious about moving cities, enrolling in portfolio school 2 weeks before it started, and farm animal etiquette.

If the person reading this is wondering how I’m qualified to solve their problems, I’m not going to make some joke about how I just love making giant sculptures of piss. We’ll get into that later.

I solve problems with relentless curiousity and obsession with the work. 6 years as a professional photographer sharpened my eye and taste, leading me to art direction. An obsession with graphic design followed, where I explored editorial design, typography, painting, and illustration.

4 Leuchtturm1917 journals filled with ideas later… made me a copywriter.

My speciality lies in making abstract emotional forces visible, creating concepts with a focus on storytelling, visual delight, and cultural relevance. I particularly enjoy projects that amplify marginalized voices and work that gets other people thinking, too.
